Signpost Logo Created for an Academic Website
It has bee awhile since I last made a post, but here is my latest work.
Last year I created a logo with a signpost concept for a acedemic website called Lancaster Learning Link. Thanks to a friend who did the web design and coding for the site, since he hooked me up with a role as graphics designer.
I worked primarily with Blender and Gimp for both 3D and image post processing. I’m particularly proud of how the chain turned out. I used a “DupliFrame” method within Blender, which allowed me to create only one chain link and multiply and rotate it at even intervals.
I also used “Displacement” maps that allowed me to achieve the rough wood grain texture.

My client was very pleased with the work and I’d have to agree.

Very good! It would take me months to do something as good as that. I still am really bad at texturing

I am wanting a logo very similar to this one! I am still trying to narrow down the name of the company, but it will be along the lines of Rustic Creations etc…I have wanted to incorporate chains somehow into the name as well as either a timber or a sign structure. It is a home building remodeling company. Any ideas or costs to create the logo would be great let me know. Thanks
